Roman Urdu · No spelling police

Roman Urdu, spelled however you spell it.

kya haal hai, kia haal hy, kya haal hy — all the same question, none of them wrong. Roman Urdu has no official spelling, and Warisha reads yours without correcting it.

Why this needs its own answer

Most Pakistanis type Urdu in Roman letters. An assistant that only reads اردو script is therefore missing the way the language is actually written every day. Roman Urdu is not a workaround for people who cannot type Urdu — it is the default input for a whole generation.

There is no correct spelling, so she does not invent one

Roman Urdu was never standardised. The same word is written differently by two people in the same house, and neither is making a mistake:

She replies in what you used

Type in Roman letters and the reply comes back in Roman letters. Type the same sentence in Urdu script and it comes back in Urdu script. You are not switching modes or changing a setting — she follows you.

The mixing is the normal case

Real Pakistani typing is not one language. It is Roman Urdu with English nouns dropped in wherever English is the word people actually use, and she is built for that rather than treating it as an error:

“mera presentation kal hai, kuch tips do”
Answers in Roman Urdu, keeps “presentation” in English because that is the word you used.
“is email ko thora professional bana do”
Returns finished English text, with the explanation kept short — you asked for the email, not a lesson.
“mujhy photosynthesis samjhao asaan alfaaz mein”
Explains in plain Roman Urdu, keeping the technical term in English where that is how it is taught.

Roman Urdu out loud, too

Say it instead of typing it and the same thing happens — she hears Roman Urdu as the spoken Urdu it is, and answers aloud. There is no separate Roman Urdu voice mode, because there is no separate Roman Urdu language.

When she will mention spelling

Only when you asked. If you are practising writing, ask her to correct you and she will. Otherwise your spelling is treated as your spelling, not as an error to be fixed on the way past.
