What separates an AI chatbot worth using in Pakistan.
Nearly every chatbot will answer you in English. The useful question is what happens when you type the way you actually type — half Roman Urdu, half English, no punctuation, on a phone.
Six things to check before you commit to one
These are the ones that decide whether you keep using it after the first week. Try them on any chatbot, including this one:
- Type a question in Roman Urdu. Does it answer in Roman Urdu, or reply in English as if you had made an error?
- Mix English nouns into an Urdu sentence. Does it keep them, or translate them into stilted Urdu nobody says?
- Ask in Pashto, Punjabi, Sindhi, Balochi or Saraiki. Does it answer in that language, or quietly switch to Urdu?
- Check whether the Urdu is Pakistani Urdu, or Hindi wearing Urdu script.
- Ask it something medical, legal or financial. Does it route you to a real person, or improvise?
- Ask it to just do the task. Does it hand you finished text, or a lecture about the task?
Typed, not only spoken
